Barsebäck Golf & Country Club is recognised as one of Europes best golf complexes. Jack Nicklaus, the most famous and qualified golfer of all time, is just one if its numerous admirers.
Situated in a spectacular landscape the two championship courses offer a variety of challenges for both amateurs and professionals. The impressive golf holes are lined with pinewood forest, side by side with parkland holes and appealing water hazards.

A horrible last day for Nora Angehrn
Everybody knows what it means to have one of those bad days, but if you get one of those as a professional - it's a nightmare. With a final 88 Nora for sure will hold the negative record for her professional career. Now it is important not to loose the focus for the next tournament in Wales. We all still believe in you Nora!
It was a hard working day for Nora 81 - 9 over par
Too many bogeys and two double bogeys made this day a round of 81. This course is a nightmare if you don't feel confident and with the wind it's easy to loose your stroke. A bad round is very close to a good round and Nora struggled today. Now she has nothing to loose and with a solid round tomorrow, Nora may gain important points for the Order of Merit.
Nora did the cut - with a 76 - 4 over Par
Nora started from the 10th tee today with 7 pars in a row. Then Nora had to note 3 bogeys from hole 17 to 19. 28 holes Nora had to be patient for her 1st birdie in this event, but as she said yesterday: "Par is always a good score on that course". This afternoon the players had to deal with very awful conditions on the course. Nora for example did hit a 3 wood into a 140 Meter par 3! With a very solid short game in the afternoon rain, and a final 76 (4 over par), Nora made the cut by two shots (+10) and will start tomorrow from position 39 for the final two rounds. At this course everything can happen and Nora is only 6 shots away from the top 10!
This 76 feels like par, Nora said after the 1st round
Nora Angehrn finished her first round with a 4 over par, a 76 on this very tough golf course. Yesterday Nora already mentioned "this is a long and tough course - but I like it". The round wasn't as bad as it looks at first sight. Nora just wasnt able to make a single birdie. With four over, Nora is not that far away and everything is possible for tomorrow's second round. |
