Tournament Details
Open de España Femenino from Thu, April 17, 2008 to Sun, April 20, 2008 |
Panorámica G&CC in San Jorge, Castellón, Spain
Panorámica G&CC
PAR 72, 4 Rounds
Thoughtfully and strategically designed by Bernhard Langer, this is a quality golf course with outstanding practice facilities. Mainly flat, it is built on a lovely piece of olive grove landscape. Technically Panoramica falls just outside of Catalonia, but the Catalans regard it as one of their own. Off the back tees Panoramica is a long course, but the course is built on flat terrain, easy-walking, little rough, with four sets of forward tees. Can be enjoyed by all abilities although high handicaps need be aware that it is a championship course.

Tough conditions out there and a 79 (+7) for Nora
Of course she is not happy with that result but it was mainly the first day she felt so bad about. On her second round Nora managed quite well getting back to her game as all players struggled out there in the afternoon. Even top players on the LET came in with rounds in the 80's. No excuse for Nora of course but better than what it looks like. "I have a lot of work to do", Nora mentioned after her disappointing debut on the LET 2008.
Very disappointing start for Nora - 81 +11 for her first round in 2008
Of course, nobody expected something like this to happen, even Nora couldnt. Not a single birdie for Nora and definitely not what she had expected. After that horrible round Nora went to the range to work on her problems. "I just didnt have the feel out there", she mentioned after her round. It's good to have her coach Denise Lavigne with her this week. Now she has to forget this start and instead focus on tomorrows second round.
Everything is well prepared for a solid start into 2008 season for Nora
Nora is ready for this weeks LET start in Spain. It's one of her favourite Golf courses - remember she finished 3rd in 2006, her best result so far on the Ladies European Tour. Nora travelled together with her Coach Denise Lavigne to Spain to prepare for this Event. Denise will be at her bag for this tournament as she was at the Q-School in October last year; this means a good working team. We wish Nora a solid start and a good season.
