76 at day two and Nora missed the Cut in Tenerife
It was not easy to play and the birdies did not fall at all. The wind made it difficult to judge the distance and so Nora missed too many opportunities after a solid drive. No birdie on the front nine with two bogies for a 38 (+2). Then a 7 at the 10th (Par 4 - 367m) was the bad start into the back nine. Nora feels pretty good, even after that 76, but it just didn't work out there for her. She will work on her game over the weekend and then travel towards Valencia where the next event will take place, next week.
Nora Angehrn missed some chances - 77, 5 over Par
Nora started well into this tournament and was -1 after 3 holes.
She missed a very short putt on her 4th hole and made a 3putt right after that. Quite a bit upset about these lazy mistakes she then had a very bad pull off the tee at hole number 15 and had to declare an unplayable lie for another bogey. After two solid Pars hole 18th was next (her ninth hole), a 135m Par 3. Nora was still fighting with herself and pushed this short Iron into the "desert" for a double bogey 5 and a total of plus 4. After that she did find back to her game and played -1 on her back nine with a hazard ball at her 16th hole. All in all a tough day. Of course Nora will fight tomorrow and rule no. one is: stay patient!
Nora Angehrn is well prepared for the European leg
Nora did take advantage of the wonderful conditions in Switzerland as you did maybe too and so she had a perfect preparation for the 7 weeks to come, when she is on tour. "It's a long break after Australia, but I'm ready to play", Nora said before she travelled to Teneriffe. |
