Unlucky Nora missed the cut by just 1 stroke at the home tournament
A 74 (2 over Par) was not enough today. "Nora played solid golf" mentioned her Coach after the round "I was impressed how she fights and how she handles the whole situatuation out there, which is not easy". Of course for Beat Grossmann it was a good opportunity to see Nora out there in a big tournament. At the end Nora missed the weekend by 1 but anyway the game is going better. Next week Rome is on where Nora had a good Tournament last year, so she is looking forward to that.
What a hart working day for Nora - 76/+4
Nora did start very well into her first round at the Deutsche Bank Ladies Swiss Open. She birdied the first to Par 5 to be -2 after 7 holes. A bad Drive on hole number 8 ended up in a double bogie for a Par round on the front nine. On her backnine Nora struggled off the tee and made some very good saves out of the thick rough here in Losone, but two bogies and a double. She finished with a very solid birdie on the 18th hole, which ist good for tomorrow's second round where everything is possible.
One of the top tournaments is ready to go
The weather is beautiful, the course is in perfect shape and the greens are fast. Great conditions for a fantastic week of Golf at Gerre Losone. Nora is in demand everywhere and she is well prepared.
Together with Amateur Caroline Rominger from Switzerland she played nine holes today. On Wednesday the ProAm is on and then Nora will play her first round on Thursday afternoon.
