A 73 (1 over Par) and Nora missed the cut unlucky by 1 stroke
Nora Angehrn had a tough start into her second round. After 7 holes Nora was +3 with 3 Bogies on holes nb. 10, 12 and 16. After a good Birdie on the 18th Nora tried hard to fight back on levelpar in the tournament to make the Cut. Nora struggled again with her drives off the tee - but, as she said "it's getting better every round" she said. At the end Nora finished with an easily plaid birdie (close to an eagle) on the Par 5 ninth hole for a 73 (+1). Her game is ready and she needed these two tournaments to get into the tournament-rhythm again.
An important and solid 72 (Par) on day 1 at Royal Pines Resort
It was significant to play a solid round of Golf after the last tournament and Nora Angehrn did. "Off the Tee I'm not happy yet but you can go low on this course" Nora said and if we look at the results, it's true. Nora started with two birdies on her first 3 holes very good. Two bogies came up and the rest in Par. Tomorrow's second round will start early for Nora at 6:50am which is 8:50pm (tonight) GMT.
The next event is on at the Royal Pines Resort in Australia
Nora Angehrn had a good practice session the last days and she feels well prepared for the second event on the Ladies European Tour. "The Fairways are wide and the Greens are much bigger then last week" Nora said. This event - at the Gold Coast of Australia - is one of the biggest on the LET 2007 schedule. Nora will Tee off at 11:30 local time, which is 1:30am GMT, so watch Nora's results early in the morning. |
