Another top result for Nora - the 70 (1 under par) moves her into the top 10!
It was a windy day at Old Lake GC near Budapest and really no chance for the players to go low. Only 13 players managed it to play under Par and Nora was one of those. With a total of -6 Nora claims the 7th place on the final leaderboard and her second top ten finish this year. An important tournament to get the confidence she will need for the next two weeks at the Catalonia Ladies Masters and the Ladies Britih Open - well done Nora!
A splendid 68, 3 under Par on day 2
"I'm just happy about my golf and how I hit the ball", Nora said after the second round. Even the 1 hour break at 4.50pm due to heavy thunder and lightning could not stop Nora's good round of golf. "For tomorrow everything is possible - you can play this course very low", she said. The lead is -12 and 7 shots away but a top five is always possible with an outstanding round of golf. Anyway, a very good result, that gives Nora a lot of confidence for the important upcoming events.
Nora is in contention after round 1 - 69, 2 under Par
It was a solid round of golf with 2 bogies, 2 birdies and 1 eagle. Too many birdie putts didn't fall, so all in all it could have been much lower today. The target must be a top ten finish for that tournament and this is possible with two other good rounds of golf.
After a break of 3 weeks, Nora will start at the OTB Bank Ladies Central European Open
It was good for Nora to have 3 weeks off. First of all to have some days without golf and then the work on little - but important - things together with her coach. Now she is in Hungary and ready to play. Nora will start at 8:30am from tee 1. |
