The venue for the Ladies Finnish Masters is Helsinki Golf Club, located in a beautiful setting just a couple of miles outside downtown Helsinki. Helsinki Golf Club was founded in 1932, and is therefore the oldest golf club in Finland. The course has hosted a number of big tournaments, including The Finnish Amateur Championship each year.
The course is a classic parkland course with a relatively flat layout. The greens are medium sized and include small slopes which make them demanding. The course demands accurate tee shots and good distance control on approaches. There are no 'bad' holes on the course and each hole has it's own character. The course has always been considered harder than it looks and this has been shown to be true on numerous occasions during tournaments.

Nora struggeled after a 3 putt on the 13th hole.
It's was a great round of Golf and Nora like back in 2006. 10 Pars and 2 Birdies, 2 under after 12 holes. Than Nora had a 3 Putt from 3 meters on nb. 13 and another bogie on nb 15 (her first green she missed in regulation that day!). So after that Nora lost the game with a sad finish, but it comes closer for her.

Nora played pretty decent but putted terribly. She missed 3 really short putts. Even though she had a couple of good birdie chances, but she couldnt get one! With 9 degrees and strong winds it was tough to play out there and if just some birdie come up tomorrow, everything is possible out there. |
