A disappointing 75 and Nora missed the cut
Too many bogies on the scorecard of Nora Angehrn and she missed the cut. ThatÂ’s difficult to understand right at the moment but it's not the game itself it's just that she needs a nice round of golf to get her self-confidence back. Nora hit the ball very well all day but when you always have to fight to go low - the work as a professional is even harder. Now Nora will have the Zurich Open at the beginning of next week and we are all sure that this course will help her moving into a golden fall on the LET.
It's tough to shoot 77 when you hit the Ball very well!
Nora started again highly motivated into that championship. She started at the 10th tee so she had to play the more difficult holes on her front nine. Nora played well but she missed 3 feasible putts for par and after nine holes she was 3 over. Nora started well into her back nine with two birdies on numbers 2 and 3 for a total of +1 and it seemed as if things would go smoothly and in the right direction. However, a water ball on number 4 ended up in a double and another water hazard was on number 8 for a final round of 77, +5. "I have such a good ball striking, I can't believe my score", Nora said after her round. And we all know what hard work this is.
Another top ranked tournament comes up this week
It's the 4th big tournament in the last four weeks and important for Nora to do well. The Wales Championship of Europe is a 500'000 Euro tournament - one out of four - which takes place at the great Machynys Peninsula GC. Nora played 21 holes for her practice round on Tuesday and was first reserve for the Pro Am yesterday but she did not have to play. Nora will start at 1:30 pm today with her first round, and she said that she is ready to go! |
