Acer Women's SA Open from Thu, February 28, 2008 to Sat, March 01, 2008 |
Durban Country Club in Durban, South Africa
Durban Country Club
PAR 73, 3 Rounds
The Durban Country Club came into existence on 9th December 1922. The decision to build it grew largely from the misfortunes of the Royal Durban, South Africas oldest club which was host to the 1919 national golf championships: the course became so waterlogged that the winner took 320 squelching strokes to finish. There was no guarantee that the low lying course would not flood again and so Durban was in danger of losing its place on the national tournament circuit.

Another tough day to play golf - 85 for Nora
The heat and a fairly strong wind coming off the sea on the front nine seemed to affect all players today and was no exception to it. At the end it was a disappointing 85 for her and she knows on what to work now.
A disappointing 82 (+9) for Nora
Nora is not fighting with the very humid weather in Durban and from the very beginning she did not feel well this week. Swing-wise the game is not exactly where Nora wants to be but there is yet enough time until the first LET Event.
Nora was not awake early in the morning off the 10th Tee - 78 (+5)
"I started off badly (8 over after 8 holes) and just didnt find the rhythm", Nora said right after the first round at the ACER SA Women's Open but then she started to play Golf. The last 10 holes - by the way the more difficult ones - Nora played 3 under and got her confidence back and this keeps her smiling for the next two rounds in very humid Durban. |
