Too many doubles on the scorecard for a 77 - 5 over Par
It was the story of the whole tournament, too many doubles and one triple bogey. Nora could not manage to stay away from these scores and that was the main reason for the two rounds of 77. The top 30 players were in the field this week and for a success you must stay away from dropping shots. Nevertheless, it was a huge success for Nora to tee up anyway and we are all looking forward to the Women's British Open.
A solid round of 74 - 2 over par - measured at the other scores
It was quite windy again and some of the players struggled today. Nora had a solid round with 3 birdies, 3 bogies and one double at the 10th hole. With this result Nora is still only 5 shots away from a top ten finish which would be a good target for tomorrows last round.
A 77 (5 over Par) on day one and everything is possible
The wind picked up the game of most of the players and Nora had to play most of her round with quite strong winds. Today the conditions will be nearly the same for everybody, because they all start late. Nora has had quite a strange scorecard with everything on it from an eagle to the double bogies. "It's only 4 shots back to the top 10", Nora mentioned after the round and with that target she is able to move up the leaderboard today.
A top Event for the top European Players
The top 30 players of the Money List after the Estoril Ladies Open of Portugal qualify for the Catalonia Ladies Masters. It is an event for 40 players only (10 invitations) and without Cut-line for 3 rounds. A good score would give Nora a good opportunity of a nice purse. |
