Between the hills and the slopes of the Roman country side, just 10 minutes from the downtown Rome, is the first European golf course that has been realized by one of the most famous American architects whose last name ties him to the history of the golf world, the Dye family.
"You'll use every club in the bag to play virtually every shot in the book.. ", holding faith to his dogma, P.B. Dye has drawn the course of the Parco di Roma Golf Club.
The eighteen holes course par 72 is located in the north zone of Rome, among the Via Cassia and the Via Flaminia. In a territory full of of archaeological and environmental wealths.
The Practice Centre is inserted in a natural gully and counts 50 open postings and 15 covered bays,
We are proud of the project of an archaeological course coordinated by Arch. Leonetti, superintendent of Zone, that enthusiastically foresees to create an open-air museum inserted in the golf course.

Today the putts did fall and Nora played great golf, 67 / -5!!!
It happened what we all had expected in the course of this week. As soon as the putts fall, Nora will go low. Nora made 7 birdies and only two bogies for a very good 67! Without the OB ball at the 14th par five (she made a bogey) - which for Nora is reachable in two - Nora could be even lower - a solid tournament with a very good end. Congratulations Nora.
Bad luck on the greens again for a 74 / +2
The putts just don't fall. Nora is putting very well but not a single putt did find the hole and this on all 3 rounds which cost Nora at least 7 shots. Nora started well into her round but scored no birdie until the 6th hole despite having had more than one good opportunity. Two unlucky bogies and a birdie on the 14th hole and Nora was still par. Then she had her first really bad shot. A 7 iron into a par 3 started left and fell into the water - a double (lip out put) was the result. Good save then on the 16th hole and a lip out on 17 and 18 for birdie and a disappointing 74. Tomorrow will be another day and Nora deserves a good round.
A big fight for a 73, +1 again - well done Nora
It is still good golf what Nora plays with only two bad shots during the 2nd round, but nevertheless these shots did cost too much. A bad shot on nb. 3 into the green ended up in a silly bogey instead of an easy birdie and then Nora had to fight all day long. Again it was a good fight and with two over on the tournament Nora made the cut in Rome. Well done!
Solid round with bad luck on the greens - 73, +1
Good golf from Nora Angehrn during the first round in Rome. Nora played solidly golf and did hit the ball very well. An unlucky bounce at the 18th hole (Noras 9th hole) ended up in a double for a 2 over par after nine. A good fight on her back nine ended in a 73, 1 over par and she is ready for tomorrow. |
