What a great final day with a 68 (-4) and a move to 8th place
From the very beginning Nora made no doubt about the Qualification for 2008 Season. She played the front 9, 4 under Par with Golf like on the first day. "I felt so good and it was great to play" Nora smiled after her 68. At the end Nora finished with that 4 under which were enough to be in the top 10. That is important for next year to make sure that she is able to play every event on Tour, even the top Events. Well done Nora, congratulations to you and Denise Lavigne - you did a great Job and we all are proud to be part of the Team!
A solid 72 (Par) round of Nora brings her into the Top 50 for the final day
The first little target is done. Nora has qualified for the top 50 at the final stage, this means at least a conditional card for 2008. But at the moment she doesn't has to care about that. With todays 72 - a solid round with 3 Birdies, 3 Bogies and the rest in Par - she is tied 11th and 4 strokes clear of the last qualifying spot for the full card in 2008. Nora doesnt have to force it tomorrow and she definitely may look forward to gain some places for the final standing. Nora's tee time for the final round is 11:40. Well done Nora.
A bit of a struggle today but a good fight at the end for 74 / +2
It's always tough after a course record to tee off but Nora did a good job out there. She started well into her second round and was -1 after 6 holes (start on nb. 10 today). Then she made a bogie on the par 4 16th hole and a double on the difficult 18th with a bad shot. Another double came up on the second hole but after that Nora fought with two birdies and Pars for a final 74. "It's not what you expect after a 65 the other day but I'm happy how I came back today - this gives me confidence and I'm still just 3 shot's off the lead" Nora said after her round in a very positive manner. Nora will have a late starting time tomorrow afternoon for round 3.
What a great day - Nora leads after a impressing Course Record of 65 / -7
Wow - what a start into that challenge Nora had. She was relaxed yesterday as she said "I'm ready for the battle" and she fired a great 65, 7 under Par, today. She eagled the par-four third hole when she holed out from 107 metres with a gap wedge. Playing in the first round, Nora hit 18 greens and made 30 putts and took advantage of her birdie opportunities on the sixth, seventh, ninth, 11th, 12th and 14th hole. The only mistake on the score card was a bogey at the fifth.With that Nora did a big step to keep her Tourcard for 2008. Well done Nora!
Nora Angehrn is well prepared for this tough job
It's never easy to go to Tour School again but Nora will take the positive trend of ther last week with her to Bologna. There will be a cut to the leading 50 players and ties after 54 holes and the leading 30 players will receive category 8 membership of the Ladies European Tour, which will give them starts in most full field tournaments. Nora has Denise Lavigne at her Bag this week which is positive in two ways. First, they did it together once in 2005 at La Cala and second, Denise is next to Beat Grossmann the coach of Nora and Nora does work with Denise for a long time. So we all are very positive because Nora belongs to the LET. Wish you all the best. |
